Volunteering with GCT Vision 2036 offers an opportunity to contribute time, skills, and knowledge in support of long-term community and institutional initiatives across cultures and regions. It is a structured form of engagement through which individuals support programmes advancing education, cultural understanding, and community development within GCT's areas of work.
GCT invites individuals to contribute their skills, knowledge, and time to programmes spanning cultural, educational, and community-focused initiatives. Volunteering is a structured form of engagement that supports work across areas such as education, cultural dialogue, environmental initiatives, governance support, communications, and programme coordination.
Participation is guided by expertise and availability, with contributors supporting initiatives across GCT's international network. Each contribution is applied within a defined area of competence while supporting the broader objectives of GCT's institutional work.
Volunteers may be engaged in areas including research support linked to ICSG-L programmes, environmental and agricultural initiatives, cultural and community engagement, as well as administrative and technical functions within organisational operations.

GCT recognises structured callings rather than vacancies. Each area below represents a defined form of contribution within GCT's cultural, educational, and community-based programmes. Individuals are invited to engage where their skills, experience, and values align with these areas of work.
Young people and early-career professionals contribute to GCT through community engagement, digital communication, and participation in institutional activities. They support outreach activities, represent GCT in selected contexts, and contribute to youth-focused initiatives across the network.
Professionals in law, finance, health, engineering, architecture, communications, and related fields contribute technical expertise to GCT's institutional development. Their work strengthens operational quality, governance systems, and programme integrity across the organisation.
Individuals with deep local knowledge and trusted community relationships support the implementation of GCT programmes at grassroots level. They help ensure that initiatives remain grounded, relevant, and responsive to lived community contexts.
Individuals with experience across cultural contexts, including diaspora communities, international education, or intercultural professional environments support communication and understanding between diverse groups. They help translate not only language, but perspective and context across cultural and institutional settings.
Researchers, academics, and subject-matter experts contribute to GCT's intellectual and research-based work. They support evidence-informed programme development, academic engagement through ICSG-L, and structured knowledge documentation.
Individuals with experience in coordination, logistics, protocol, hospitality, translation, and documentation support GCT's convenings and programme delivery. Their contribution ensures that institutional gatherings are delivered with clarity, structure, and professional coherence.
Professionals in IT, media, digital communications, design, and content production support GCT's digital systems and communication infrastructure. They contribute to documentation, media production, and the structured global communication of GCT's work.
GCT's volunteer process is designed to be clear and accessible. It begins with an expression of interest and progresses through a short conversation, a values and skills alignment step, and a confirmed role. The process ensures appropriate matching between individual skills and GCT's areas of engagement.
Submit a volunteer expression of interest, indicating your area of calling, relevant skills or experience, and geographic location.
A member of the GCT team engages in a brief conversation to understand motivation, experience, and alignment with GCT's areas of work.
Where alignment is established, a volunteer role is confirmed through a simple agreement outlining scope, responsibilities, and general expectations.
Volunteers receive relevant onboarding information, access to their assigned area of engagement, and introduction to the GCT team or programme they will support.
All seven volunteer callings are accessed through a single application form. Applicants are asked to complete it clearly and accurately. Applications are reviewed by the GCT team, and responses are typically provided within fourteen working days. Where applicable, applicants may indicate more than one area of contribution.
